NSG 617 - Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) - Target Population Diagnosis

This course provides the philosophy and framework for population health and the care of aggregates within the clinical microsystem. Analysis and application of theory and skills needed to assess and diagnosis microsystem structures, patterns, and processes affecting clinical and cost outcomes of target populations within complex health systems are presented. Concepts of health promotion, risk reduction, and disease prevention are emphasized, along with characteristics of successful microsystems to teach students microsystem thinking and approaches for sustainable improvements in the quality and value of front-line care delivery.
