A guided practicum with a practitioner-mentor, in which the student learns by experience, example and interaction concerning advanced practice. Experience is arranged to include: Community interaction, interdisciplinary cooperation; patient advocacy; patient empowerment issues; family education; consideration of socioeconomic, societal and cultural issues.
