ELEC 556 - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cr Hrs: 1 (14-6-0)
A comprehensive course designed to develop the cognitive and psychomotor skills necessary for resuscitation of the adult. Strategies for managing and stabilizing the cardiopulmonary arrested patient will be included. The student will describe the principles, techniques, and complications of intravenous and electrical therapy, airway control, ventilation, and supplemental oxygen; and analyze cardiac dysrhythmias and follow through with appropriate therapeutic intervention.
This course may be repeated for up to 3 credit hours
