NNP 825 - Advanced Neonatal Health Assessment & Diagnosis

Advanced Neonatal Health Assessment & Diagnosis builds on the assessment skills learned in basic health assessment. The course focuses on development and application of necessary knowledge through skill acquisition for the acute and primary neonatal care settings, with differentiation between normal and pathological findings and critical thinking necessary for diagnostic reasoning. Emphasis is placed on recognition of signs and symptoms associated with common term, preterm, and ill neonatal and related physical and developmental health problems, as well as psychosocial and cultural variations of the family.
