PHCY 1208 - Focus on Pharmacy Compounding

This one-week elective course prepares a student pharmacist to compound additional dosage forms such as lollipops, medicated animal treats, transdermal gels, sticks, ophthalmics. Emphasis is placed on creating unique formulations that satisfy patient needs. Equipment used by compounding pharmacists to formulate preparations, quality assurance and regulatory requirements are discussed.
