OBG 45030 - Gynecologic Oncology
Cr Hrs: 3, 6 Session Length: 2 and 4 weeks
This is a face to face clinical rotation receiving 3 or 6 credit hours. The student should function with increased autonomy in patient care and must demonstrate competency in several of the Entrustable Professional Activities required for graduation. The purpose of this elective is to provide the student contemplating a career in Obstetrics and Gynecology the opportunity to gain greater insight into the specialty with an emphasis on gynecologic oncology. Close faculty contact provides exposure to the most recent advances in detection, prevention, and treatment of gynecologic cancers. Students will gain experience in surgical and medical management of gynecologic cancer. Students will spend time in the operating room, colposcopy clinic, and the private office setting for gynecological oncology patients.
