MHIM 600 - Information Technology and Systems
Cr Hrs: 3 Broad coverage of technology concepts underlying modern computing and information management as well as survey of the field of health informatics to provide students with the foundation for the program of studies. Topics include overview of concepts in health informatics, information technology infrastructure, information systems management in healthcare, management IT challenges, interoperability and certification of computer systems, Internet, basic computer security including identity and access management, and meaningful use standards.
