OT 642 - Healthcare Management & Policy
Cr Hrs: 4 The occupational therapist of the future is expected to be a leader in shaping healthcare policy, providing client advocacy, and managing occupational therapy services. This course will provide the knowledge and understanding of the various contexts, such as professional, social, cultural, political and ecological in which occupational therapy services are provided. Management of occupational therapy services will include the application of principles of the management and systems in the provision of OT services to individuals and organizations.
