MED 45021 - Ambulatory Endocrinology

Session Length: 2 and 4 weeks



This is a face to face clinical rotation receiving 3 or 6 credit hours. The student should function with increased autonomy in patient care and must demonstrate competency in several of the Entrustable Professional Activities required for graduation. This elective is designed to provide the students exposure to ambulatory patients with a broad spectrum of endocrinopathies. Students will work with the course faculty in seeing their private patients or attend outpatient Regional One Health MedPlex and VA clinics. The experiences will include problems in growth and development, diabetes, and lipids mineral metabolism, and reproductive endocrinology, thyroid disorders, hypothalamic pituitary disorders, and diseases of adrenal glands.
