OBG 45010 - Clinical OB/GYN for the Generalist
Cr Hrs: 3, 6 Session Length: 2 and 4 weeks
This is a face-to-face clinical rotation receiving 3 or 6 credit hours. The student should function with increased autonomy in patient care and must demonstrate competency in several of the Entrustable Professional Activities required for graduation. This elective provides students with an in-depth view of the obstetrical and gynecological subspecialties, as well as the opportunity to work with a private practitioner. This elective can be customized to the student’s needs, but in general consists of 2 or 4 weeks divided into different clinical settings, which may include time spent with a private general Ob/Gyn practitioner, reproductive endocrinologist, or gynecological oncologist. Students will attend all assigned rounds, conferences and Didactics (Tuesday AM) and monthly Grand Rounds (Tuesday AM).
