PED 30000 - Core Clerkship in Pediatrics (Knoxville)
Cr Hrs: 9 Session Length: 6 weeks

This is a face to face clinical rotation receiving 9 credit hours. This required 6-week clerkship offers experience on an inpatient pediatrics service with direct patient management. Regular rounds with pediatrics faculty and residents provide opportunities for interaction with all members of the health care team in managing the pediatric patient. Additional experiences in the ambulatory setting include: general pediatrics outpatient clinic, subspecialty clinics, emergency department, and newborn nursery and/or neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). A six-week lecture series covers the most relevant topics in pediatric care.
