This is a continuation of Foundations of Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare I. In the same format (two hour journal club-style discussion of historical and current literature followed the next week by a seminar on current research), students will explore feature engineering and feature selection, model fitting, performance metrics, and basic principles of model project design. The course will culminate with student design projects addressing the deficits identified in their project from Foundations of Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare I.
