This clinical course focuses on the practical application of evidence-based individual/family-centered care. Emphasis is placed on demonstrating skills and knowledge relevant to the midwifery management of the individual during the intrapartum and postpartum periods. Optimal outcomes for all populations and the impact of social determinants of health on populations at greatest risk for adverse outcomes will be discussed.
