OBG 45011 - Gynecologic-Oncology

Session Length: 2 or 4 weeks



This is a face-to-face clinical rotation receiving 6 credit hours. The student should function with increased autonomy in patient care and must demonstrate competency in several of the Entrustable Professional Activities required for graduation. This 4 week elective will allow the student to become more familiar with Gynecologic Oncology topics, surgical and medical treatment, as well as examine several gynecologic cancers with a review of the literature. The student will attend daily rounds, actively participate in surgery and clinic, and be responsible for approximately 10 patients per week. There will be supervision by a Gynecologic Oncology Attending and/or Residents. The student will also attend Gynecologic Oncology Conferences (2nd and 4th Thursday PM and 1st and 3rd Friday AM).
