PAT 45040 - Advanced Pathology
Cr Hrs: 3, 6 Session Length: 2 and 4 weeks
This is a face to face clinical rotation receiving 3 or 6 credit hours. This course will provide additional hospital based pathology experience for students who have taken the basic elective. This elective is intended for students interested in a career in anatomic and/or clinical pathology. The student will attend all required resident conferences, assist in autopsies, surgical dissections, and case sign-out. Students will be asked to lead a case presentation at the end of the rotation. Students may have opportunities to spend time in areas they have particular interest (blood bank, cytology, forensics, etc.).
