RAD 35015 - Diagnostic Radiology CE - Baptist
Cr Hrs: 2 Session Length: 2 weeks
This is a face to face clinical rotation. This career exploration course (CE) will allow third year medical students to explore this discipline as a potential career choice. Students will rotate at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Memphis through the different subspecialties including Neuro, MSK, Chest, Body, IR, Nucs, Women’s, and Peds while learning the intricacies of x-ray, fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, and nuclear scintigraphy. Hours of the rotation are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The typical day will be spent with both residents and faculty observing and participating in image interpretation and procedures. Students should attend noon conference daily. There is a 2-week virtual curriculum from the ACR which students should expect to complete during the rotation. Textbooks are available to check out during the rotation.
