Cr Hrs: 1 0-0-15 Session Length: 2 weeks
PD
This is a follow-up course for students that underwent the Medical Student Experience in Neurology (MSEN) course as a first-year medical student. This will be a remote course offered to rising fourth-year medical students with emphasis on a therapeutic outlook of the seven main, common neurological pathologies discussed in the MSEN course at a beginner resident level.
Students will be required to watch pre-recorded lectures and participate with case-based vignettes to evaluate and engage with the material. Students will also write a reflection of each day of lectures to consider how they will use the day’s knowledge in their chosen field, encouraging them to consider how they would confront the neurological complaint in their future setting. This will serve to further help students and ultimately new residents be comfortable with common neurological concerns, with emphasis placed on the types of patients they will encounter
