Principles of clinical microbiololy covering the methodology of isolation, identification, classification, and antibiotic sensitivity testing of human pathogenic microorganisms. Pathogenisis, transmission, pathophysiology, and immunology of infectious diseases will be covered. Epidemiology, proper specimen collection and handling, and quality assurance in clinical microbiology will be addressed with a specific emphasis on bacteriology.
