OTD 801 - Pathology

This course is an introduction to the pathological origins of disease as they relate to the musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, immune, endocrine, respiratory, and other major body systems. The course also reviews neoplasia, cell injury, and immunopathology and describes its application to occupational therapy assessment and intervention. Anatomic structure and function as it relates to disease processes and occupational engagement will be incorporated into course content and lab activities using real or simulated cadavers.
