This clinical course is designed to provide the foundational knowledge on which nurse leaders can build upon to successfully lead in high reliability organizations (HROs) within and across health care systems. Emphasis is placed on the development and application of strategic leadership competencies necessary to foster a culture of safety, resilience, and reliability. Evidence-based approaches for leading within interdisciplinary teams while upholding ethical standards in all aspects of governance will be emphasized.
