This course focuses on national and state health and education policies, legislation, and laws that impact occupational therapy practice. Access, quality, cost factors (classification and reimbursement), and regulation (state practice acts, regulatory and accrediting commissions) are covered. Students learn how occupational therapy practitioners can influence public policy, systems, and population health and wellness.
