This course delves into sociohistorical issues in health, emphasizing the critical roles of drivers of health and the integration of essential physiologic and psychological contributors to underpin a robust research agenda. Students will explore how these factors interact to influence health outcomes and shape practice. By examining sociohistorical and contemporary drivers of health, this course aims to equip students to consider factors that influence health outcomes and may impact the transferability and generalizability of knowledge as they design research methods. By bridging theoretical knowledge with practical research applications, students will be prepared to advance healthcare through innovative and impactful studies
