CLS 534  - Advanced Basic and Clinical Immunology

A study of the fundamental concepts of human immunology, both theoretical and practical application, which includes the in vivo mechanisms underlying the response to infectious agents, alteration of immunity, aberrant immunity, tumor immunity, and hypersensitivity. Application of serologic assessment of tumor makers. Theoretical principles of the structure and functions of antigens and antibodies will be applied to diagnostic immunology / serology testing for the assessment of various disease states.
