EME 35015  - Emergency Medicine Ultrasonography CE

This is a face to face clinical rotation. This career exploration course (CE) will allow third year medical students to explore this discipline as a potential career choice. This two-week elective introduces learners of all experience levels to emergency medicine ultrasonography. The course covers core POCUS topics, including FAST (Focused Assessment with Sonography for Trauma), cardiac and lung ultrasound, and abdominal imaging for conditions like cholecystitis and hydronephrosis. Using a flipped classroom model, participants engage with high-quality asynchronous content, such as video lectures and case modules, and reinforce skills through hands-on practice with expert guidance. A state-of-the-art ultrasound simulator ensures beginners can build technical confidence in a supportive environment. By the end, learners will be equipped with essential ultrasound skills for clinical practice.
