PMR 35002  - Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation CE

This is a face to face clinical rotation. This career exploration course (CE) will allow third year medical students to explore this discipline as a potential career choice. Students will gain exposure to physiatry interventional spine practice, muscular skeletal evaluation of cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spinal conditions. Exposure to interventional spinal procedures to help treat those conditions. Exposure to cervical, thoracic, and lumbar epidural steroid injections as well as cervical, thoracic, and lumbar medial branch blocks and radiofrequency ablation. Additionally students will be exposed to sacroiliac joint injections, coccyx injections, and intra-articular shoulder and hip injections.
