Leadership Exploration and Ability Development Certificate

The Leadership Exploration and Ability Development (LEAD) certificate is offered by the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy. It is a 16-credit hour, four-course certificate program in pharmacy health science leadership. The program includes specialty coursework in leadership; lean 6-sigma certification training; project development, design, implementation, and evaluation; entrepreneurship; finances; and education. Throughout the program, students will learn, practice, and refine their leadership, management, and entrepreneurial skills.
Students will be selected for participation in the certificate program through an application process. Applications will be solicited in the Spring semester of the first professional (P1) year of the PharmD program. Each cohort of students will be a maximum of 10 students and will enter the program at the conclusion of their Spring P1 coursework.
