This course provides experiential learning activities designed as an integral part of the didactic coursework to provide directed observation and selective participation in the occupational therapy process. Fieldwork related activities and assignments are aimed to integrate didactic concepts, stimulate professional reasoning, and promote application of occupational therapy principles across the lifespan. Concepts highlighted in this course include assessing the influence of context on occupational engagement and social determinants of health for individuals, groups, and populations, integrating holistic occupational therapy frame of references, theory, and occupational justice.
