OT 530 - Perspectives of Adult Development

This course promotes application of theoretical constructs and conceptual frameworks of occupational therapy practice. This course covers normal age-related changes that occur in the various systems of the body and focuses on diagnoses commonly seen in the adult and older adult populations. The course emphasizes skilled evaluation using evidence-based and client-centered assessments, as well as documentation and interpretation of assessment results. It requires utilization of the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework, considering the individual, their diagnosis, the context of their functioning, and the environments that support health through participation in occupation. This course will include review of musculoskeletal structures in lab.
