COM 20443 - Principles of Clinical Medicine IV For 3-year Curriculum

Fall term of year two. Three-year curriculum students only. This course will continue with covering a variety of topics from the first semester, including patient rapport skills, doctor/patient relationship, the biopsychosocial model of medicine, professionalism, communication and interviewing skills, history taking, performing physical exams, documenting physical exams, tobacco counseling, weight loss counseling, drug dependence, challenging patient encounters, preventive services, diagnostic testing properties, and basic biostatistics. All topics will be thoroughly integrated with concurrent foundation courses.
