MSPA 512 - Human Physiology for Pathologists’ Assistants

A systems-based approach to the study of the function of the human body and its homeostatic mechanisms at the level of molecules, cells, tissues, organs, organ systems and the human organism. Each organ system will be discussed, placing special emphasis on the clinical and physiologic indicators of “normal” health and the respective systems associated ”form and function.” The course material emphasizes the etiology, pathogenesis and clinical diagnosis of specific diseases that correlate with normal function.
