COM 10700 - Medical Student Experience in Neurology
Cr Hrs: 2 (15-10-1) PD
This course, designed for rising M2 students, will be an introduction to localization of common neurological diseases coupled with diagnosis and basic management with focus on learning, practicing, and developing essential neurological skills in real-world scenarios. The normal physiology, pathophysiology, and clinical presentations of common central and peripheral nervous system disease will be covered through live didactic sessions, clinical experiences, and small-group case presentations. Students will be exposed to a variety of neurological diseases through both outpatient and inpatient encounters. The course will act as a career exploration experience that will serve to establish interest in neurology as a potential specialty.
